Central Virginia Struggles with Multiple Deaths in Homes over 2 Weeks: Police Investigate

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. — Police in Central Virginia are investigating a string of deaths, most of which have occurred in homes within the region in less than two weeks.

Henrico Police responded to the report of two individuals deceased inside a home on Little Five Loop in the morning of Monday, Nov. 27. The victims were identified as father Albert Moody, 70, and his son Malcolm Moody, 38. The investigation remains ongoing, with no suspects identified as of Sunday, Dec. 10.

In New Kent County, two more people were found dead inside a home on New Kent Road on Thursday, Dec. 7. Authorities indicated that there is no threat to the public and no suspects are being sought in connection with the incident, as the investigation continues.

In Chesterfield County, another two individuals were also found dead in a home near Coalbrook Drive on Biggin Pond Road. According to police, foul play is not suspected in this incident.

Subsequently, on Saturday, Dec. 9, Henrico Police discovered a man deceased on Fairfield Avenue, in response to a report of a shooting. The investigation is still in its early stages, with an update expected to be provided on Monday, Dec. 11.

Police continue to seek answers following these tragic events, spanning multiple jurisdictions in Central Virginia.
