HARRIS COUNTY, Texas – A man suspected of assaulting an 83-year-old great-grandmother during an alleged carjacking incident in the Aldine area has been apprehended by Harris County sheriff’s deputies. The arrest came just days after the violent attack took place, shocking the local community.
The incident occurred outside a grocery store on Aldine Mail Route last Thursday, as the elderly woman, Lydia Sanchez, was leaving the premises. Reports revealed that she was forcibly pulled out of her car, attacked, and left injured by the assailant. Charges related to the carjacking, aggravated robbery, felony burglary, and family assault have been brought against the suspect by the HCSO, underscoring the gravity of his alleged criminal activities.
