Burglary Attack: Man Seriously Injured After Answering Door, Suspects Sought by Police

In Seacombe, England, a 68-year-old man was left seriously injured after being attacked in his home during a burglary. The incident took place on Stanley Close on Monday, March 25 around 4:20 pm. The man suffered a broken jaw, cheekbone, and eye socket as a result of the assault.

Authorities reported that two unidentified men rang the man’s doorbell, leading to a violent confrontation. Despite the attack, nothing was reported stolen from the residence. The local police department is currently conducting investigations to identify and locate the suspects involved in the crime.

Descriptions of the suspects have been provided by witnesses to aid in the search. One suspect was detailed as wearing a dark zip-up jacket with a white L on the chest panel and another suspect was described as wearing a dark-colored panelled jacket with a hood up. The suspects were reported to be between 25-35 years old.

In a recent update, Merseyside Police confirmed the arrest of a 30-year-old man from Egremont in connection with the assault. The individual has since been released on bail as investigations continue. Detective Inspector Andrew Schofield emphasized the seriousness of the attack and urged the public to come forward with any information that could assist in the case.
