Attack: Man Left with Broken Back and Stab Wounds at Gwinnett Gas Station

GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. – A horrifying attack at a gas station in Gwinnett County has left a man with a broken back and stab wounds, reported by his family. Last week, 37-year-old Warren Crayton was arrested by Duluth police for the random assaults of two individuals before fleeing a shopping center. One of the victims was Alfonso Peralta, who was working at a nearby car wash at the Shell gas station when he was viciously attacked by Crayton. The assault resulted in Peralta sustaining a broken back, as revealed by the police.

Surveillance footage shared by the police documented the attack, showing an unknown suspect in a blue shirt repeatedly kicking Peralta before fleeing the scene. The victim’s family has initiated a GoFundMe campaign to assist with covering medical expenses and living costs. According to the campaign description, Peralta was not only kicked but also stabbed during the incident. The family disclosed that Peralta sought refuge inside the gas station after the suspect targeted a group at the car wash. Unfortunately, the attack caused severe injuries, including multiple stab wounds that damaged his back, rendering him temporarily unable to walk.

The family disclosed that Peralta remains hospitalized, with a long road to recovery ahead before he can walk again. Another victim, a 16-year-old, reported being punched in the face by a stranger outside a Kroger store on Peachtree Industrial Boulevard and Pleasant Hill Road, just an hour before Peralta was assaulted. Police have yet to determine a clear motive behind the attacks, leaving the victims shocked and blindsided by the violence.

The community is rallying support for Peralta and the other victims as they navigate the aftermath of these senseless attacks. The whereabouts and motives of the suspect remain under investigation as authorities work to bring justice for those affected by this disturbing incident. Meanwhile, Peralta’s family continues to seek assistance through the GoFundMe campaign to ensure he receives the necessary medical care and support during his recovery process.
