Attack: Innocent Shop Worker Assaulted and Robbed by Hooded Thugs Captured on Snapchat video

Stockport, United Kingdom – A disturbing Snapchat video recently surfaced, capturing the brutal assault and robbery of a shop worker by a group of hooded individuals. The footage, shared on social media, shows the victim being punched, kicked, and even stomped on by the assailants at a petrol station on Wellington Road South.

The harrowing video led authorities to identify and apprehend the suspects involved in the attack. Kausar Amin, Bradley Maphosa, Tyler Garforth, and Riley Richardson were all arrested and later charged in connection with the incident. The assault, which took place in the early hours of July 29, 2021, left the victim shaken and injured.

In the video, the victim can be seen cowering behind the counter as the group of perpetrators barges into the petrol station. They proceed to violently assault the man, throwing objects at him and causing him to fall to the ground in fear. The attackers then fled the scene with approximately £600 worth of stock before authorities could arrive.

After a thorough investigation and the retrieval of the Snapchat video as evidence, Amin, Maphosa, Garforth, and Richardson were brought to justice. Amin, 22, of Tate Street in Oldham, was sentenced to two years for his role in the robbery, while his accomplices faced varying sentences for their involvement.

Detective Constable Lucy Williams expressed relief that the perpetrators were held accountable for their unprovoked attack. She commended the victim for their bravery and the public for their assistance in bringing the assailants to justice. The outcome of the case serves as a reminder of the importance of holding individuals accountable for their actions, particularly when they result in harm to others.

Garforth and Richardson were also ordered to complete specific requirements as part of their sentencing, including unpaid work, rehabilitation activities, and curfews. The sentences handed down emphasize the severity of the assault and the impact it had on the victim and the community at large.
