Attack in Ukrainian City of Odesa Leaves Seven Dead, Including Two Children

Kyiv, Ukraine – The death toll in the Russian attack on the Ukrainian city of Odesa continues to rise, with Governor Oleg Kiper confirming a total of seven fatalities. The recent attack on a residential building has resulted in the recovery of the bodies of a woman and a baby, bringing the total number of victims to seven, with others still missing.

Among the victims are two minors, including a two-year-old child, along with injuries to eight individuals, including a child whose age has not been disclosed by local authorities. Ukrainian Armed Forces have reported 17 attacks using Iranian-made kamikaze drones, with 14 successfully intercepted using anti-aircraft defenses in various cities, including Odesa, Mykolaiv, Zaporizhzhia, Kharkiv, Sumi, and Dnipro.

Following the attacks, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has strongly condemned the violence and has called for increased support in terms of anti-aircraft defenses from Western allies. Zelensky emphasized the need to strengthen the Ukrainian air shield to effectively protect civilians from Russian aggression, highlighting the importance of additional air defenses and anti-aircraft missiles to save lives.
