One of the victims, Faraz Tahir, fled persecution in Pakistan and sought refuge in Australia just a year ago. Tahir, described as a cherished member of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community of Australia, tragically lost his life while serving as a dedicated security guard during the attack. Pakistan’s High Commissioner to Australia, Zahid Hafeez Chaudhri, paid tribute to Tahir, recognizing his heroic efforts in saving others during the horrific incident.
Another victim, 55-year-old Pikria Darchia, originally from Georgia, was identified as one of the victims of the stabbing attacks. Darchia, an artist, tragically lost her life in the senseless act of violence. Dawn Singleton, a 25-year-old e-commerce assistant at White Fox Boutique and daughter of Australian businessman John Singleton, was also among the victims, further highlighting the devastating impact of the attack on innocent lives.
