Assault Suspects at Large After Violent Incident at LRT Station

Edmonton, Alberta – Authorities in Edmonton are seeking the public’s help in locating several individuals involved in a violent assault that occurred at an LRT station last month. The incident, which took place at Churchill Station on February 24th, left a 64-year-old man with serious but non-life threatening injuries.

Police reports indicate that the victim was waiting for a train on the platform when he was confronted by a man who physically attacked him, knocking him to the ground. The assailant was then joined by five other individuals who participated in the assault and subsequently robbed the victim before fleeing the scene.

Following the incident, two individuals have been taken into custody, while authorities have issued warrants for the arrest of another person involved. However, investigators are still working to identify three other suspects believed to be connected to the attack. In an effort to gather more information, authorities have released a photo of the three unidentified individuals.

Descriptions provided by the authorities detail the appearance of the suspects, ranging from physical attributes to clothing and accessories worn at the time of the assault. Additionally, warrants have been issued for Markus Lee Gladue, 21, on charges of aggravated assault, possession of a dangerous weapon, and robbery, as well as for Brady Rodney Descroches-Smith, 28, for aggravated assault and robbery.

The severity of the incident is further underscored by the fact that Descroches-Smith was also wanted for first-degree murder by the Grande Prairie RCMP at the time of his arrest. Another individual, Travis Damian Houle, 35, has been charged with aggravated assault, robbery, and failure to comply with a court order in connection with the assault at the LRT station.
