Assailants: Edmonton Police Seek Public’s Help to Identify Suspects in Violent Attack

EDMONTON, ALBERTA – Edmonton police are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying six suspects involved in a violent attack at the Churchill LRT station last month. The incident occurred on February 24th, when a 64-year-old man was knocked to the ground, beaten, and robbed by a group of assailants at the ground-level platform of the Churchill LRT station.

According to authorities, the victim was waiting for a train on the platform around 5:30 a.m. when he was approached by one man. Following a brief verbal exchange, the victim was violently assaulted by the initial attacker, who was soon joined by five other individuals. The group brutally beat the victim before robbing him and fleeing the scene.

Emergency medical services were quick to respond, providing treatment to the victim before transporting him to the hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. So far, one suspect has been identified as Travis Damian Houle, 35. A warrant has been issued for Houle on charges of aggravated assault, robbery, and failure to comply with a probation order.

Police are now seeking the public’s help in identifying the remaining five suspects who were captured on video surveillance footage. One of the male suspects was reportedly armed with pepper spray, while another was seen riding a bicycle. Additionally, there was one female suspect in the group.
