Argument Escalates into Fatal Shooting in Cudahy Incident

CUDAHY, Wis. – A tragic incident unfolded in the city of Cudahy, Wisconsin, where a 41-year-old man from South Milwaukee lost his life following a reported argument near Packard and Birchwood avenues. The Cudahy Police Department responded to the scene after receiving reports of a dispute and a gunshot on Saturday evening.

Law enforcement officials confirmed on Sunday that the man had been fatally shot and was pronounced dead at the location. The suspected shooter fled in a vehicle and remains at large, as Cudahy police continue their search for the individual. Initial investigations suggest that the vehicle involved may have been a black SUV.

Witnesses reported that the victim, driving northbound on South Packard Avenue, became engaged in a conflict with another driver heading in the same direction. The situation escalated when both vehicles came to a stop, leading to a confrontation between the victim and the suspect. It is unclear whether the two individuals were acquainted prior to the tragic event.

Video footage from a surveillance camera at Sam’s Used Car Sales captured the confrontation, showing a man exiting a red SUV to approach someone in a black SUV. According to the footage, a gunshot was fired as the passenger window of the black SUV rolled down, resulting in the victim being shot. The black SUV then fled northbound on Packard Avenue following the incident.

Cudahy police reassured the community that there is no immediate danger, although they have not disclosed any information regarding potential arrests.
