Woman Allegedly Drugs Man and Steals $18K Rolex Following Night OutExpandGoodBad

MIAMI, FL – A woman was arrested following a night out at a popular Brickell bar, accused of drugging and robbing a man. The incident occurred at the Sugar Rooftop Bar, where Rachel Warner, 23, allegedly targeted her victim, leading to a series of events that police have dubbed a “bad date case.”

Authorities in Miami-Dade County are familiar with such crimes, which often begin as innocent dates but take a sinister turn. In this instance, Warner reportedly engaged with the man at the bar, then accompanied him to his hotel room. There, she allegedly served him a drink laced with a substance that caused him to fall asleep.

The victim awoke hours later to find his $18,000 Rolex missing. Surveillance footage from the hotel captured Warner hurriedly leaving the premises at around 3 a.m., raising suspicions about her involvement in the theft.

Local residents expressed shock at the brazenness of the crime, although police noted such incidents are not uncommon in the Miami nightlife scene. As a result, they have been vigilant in monitoring similar situations.

Warner’s arrest came after police spotted her at another location, conversing with a 61-year-old man. Officers, suspecting she was attempting to repeat her alleged crime, detained her. During the arrest, detectives found two eye drop bottles in her possession, containing a liquid that was not eye drops, further implicating her in the crime.

Investigators are currently testing the liquid to determine its exact composition. Warner remains in custody without bond as the investigation continues. Authorities are advising the public to be cautious and keep a close watch on their drinks when out at bars and restaurants.

This incident serves as a reminder of the potential dangers lurking in social settings, emphasizing the importance of staying vigilant while enjoying Miami’s vibrant nightlife.
