Lucknow, India – A tragic incident occurred in a warehouse in the Talkatora area of Lucknow on Wednesday, resulting in the death of a 23-year-old man named Harshit Yadav. The young man lost his life when a fire extinguisher exploded during a gas refilling process at the warehouse where he worked.
Yadav, a resident of Faizullahganj, was employed at the gas-filling warehouse located in a house in Rajajipuram D-Block. His family has alleged that the warehouse was operating illegally, with the owner of the establishment now on the run.
Authorities, led by ACP Dharmendra Singh Raghuvanshi, revealed that during the initial investigation, it was determined that the company did possess a license. However, further inquiries will delve into the safety standards practiced at the warehouse and how daily operations were conducted.
Following the explosion, Yadav was swiftly transported to the hospital, where medical professionals pronounced him dead. His family has accused the company owner of negligence, claiming that expired cylinders were being refilled in the warehouse and then sold in the market.
Gyanendra Yadav, the deceased’s brother, lamented the lack of safety standards within the company, emphasizing the dangerous practice of refilling expired cylinders for resale. The family is seeking justice for the loss of their loved one and holds the company responsible for operating unlawfully and compromising safety protocols.
Authorities are now faced with the task of conducting a thorough investigation into the warehouse’s practices, ensuring that such tragic incidents can be prevented in the future.
