United Way and Austintown Starbucks team up to support Youngstown explosion victims

AUSTINTOWN, Ohio – In a show of solidarity with the victims of the recent downtown Youngstown explosion, the Starbucks located along Route 46 has teamed up with the United Way to provide assistance. The initiative aims to support those affected by the tragic event by collecting essential items such as non-perishable food, hygiene products, cleaning supplies, and clothing.

On Monday, June 17, from 5 to 7 p.m., community members are encouraged to drop off their donations directly at the Austintown Starbucks. Additionally, for those unable to donate in person, the United Way is accepting monetary contributions online to address larger needs like furniture and appliances for the victims.

This collaborative effort extends beyond just the Austintown location, as Starbucks stores across the district will serve as collection points for donations. The primary focus, however, remains on the Austintown store as the central drop-off site for these much-needed supplies.

The partnership between Starbucks and the United Way underscores the power of community support in times of crisis, highlighting the importance of coming together to assist those facing adversity. By providing both tangible goods and financial aid, the initiative seeks to alleviate some of the burdens faced by the individuals and families impacted by the tragic explosion in downtown Youngstown.

Through this partnership, residents have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact and show their solidarity with the victims during their time of need. This joint effort exemplifies the strength of unity and compassion in the face of adversity, demonstrating the resilience and generosity of the Austintown community in supporting their neighbors in times of crisis.
