ATLANTA, GA – The shooting of two young boys at a Fairburn Road apartment complex has left the Atlanta community reeling. The violence unfolded on Saturday afternoon, involving a 10-year-old and a 15-year-old, both of whom sustained gunshot injuries.
Responding to a 911 call, police arrived at the scene around 12:50 p.m. They found the boys, who were conscious and breathing, and transported them to a hospital.

Nicole Pruitt, a resident, recounted hearing the gunshots. “I heard the shots and the screams,” she said. “It was devastating to find out children were involved.”
Another crime scene was established near a nearby Dollar Tree, adding another layer to the investigation. Pamela Hernandez, at the scene with her grandchildren, was deeply affected. “It’s unimaginable what those families are going through,” she said.
Pruitt expressed frustration over the lack of security measures at the complex, noting that cameras were not operational. “It’s just one crime after another here, and nothing changes,” she stated.
