The South African Police Service (SAPS) in Northern Cape confirmed that detectives from the Provincial Serious and Violent Crimes Unit are looking into the 67-year-old’s death. Colonel Cherelle Ehlers, a spokesperson for SAPS, reported that the attack happened around 5:15 a.m. at her residence. Three unidentified assailants reportedly forced their way onto the property, resulting in her severe injuries.
Ehlers emphasized the ongoing nature of the investigation and urged anyone with knowledge related to the case to come forward.
