Tragic Texas Murder-Suicide: Mother Kills 3-Year-Old Son Before Taking Her Own Life

San Antonio, Texas – The tragic details of a murder-suicide involving a mother and her 3-year-old son have been disclosed by authorities in Texas.

On March 19, Savannah Kriger, 32, and her son, Kaiden Kriger, were found deceased in a drainage ditch near Tom Slick Park in San Antonio. Earlier that day, an Amber Alert had been issued for Kaiden, leading to the discovery of their bodies.

The medical examiner’s office determined that Savannah Kriger’s death was a suicide, while Kaiden Kriger’s death was ruled a homicide. Both individuals had sustained gunshot wounds, according to Bexar County Sheriff Javier Salazar.

During a news conference, Sheriff Salazar provided a timeline of events surrounding the case. He mentioned that Kriger had left work prematurely on March 18 and proceeded to her ex-husband’s residence, where she reportedly caused property damage.

Following the incident at her ex-husband’s house, Kriger returned to her own home. Salazar stated that she then arranged wedding dresses and portraits on the bed before firing shots at the portraits.

Later in the day, Kriger picked Kaiden up from daycare and made a FaceTime call to her ex-husband while at the park where their bodies were discovered. Despite attempts to contact him, Kriger ultimately sent a chilling text message to her ex-husband before recording a video of herself and Kaiden at the scene.
