Tragic Murder-Suicide of Bronxville Police Sergeant and Family Shocks Rockland County Community

NEW CITY, N.Y. – Tragedy struck in Rockland County when four family members were discovered dead in their home early Saturday morning. Authorities suspect a murder-suicide involving a sergeant with the Bronxville Police Department. The victims were identified as Watson Morgan, 49, Ornela Morgan, 43, and their two sons, aged 10 and 12. All four had succumbed to gunshot wounds by the time officers arrived at the residence to check on their welfare.

Watson Morgan, a sergeant with the Bronxville Police Department, is believed to have killed his wife and two children before taking his own life with a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Morgan had a longstanding career in law enforcement, having worked with the New York Police Department before joining the Bronxville force in 2007.
