Warner Robins, Ga. — A tragic incident at the Bradford Place Apartments has left three individuals dead, including two siblings, following what authorities have classified as a murder-suicide. Family members identified the victims as 22-year-old Shyianna Lee and her brother, 24-year-old Jermaine Lee Jr.
The shooting unfolded early Saturday morning, prompting police to respond around 12:30 a.m. Upon arrival at the apartments located on Tom Chapman Boulevard, officers discovered two individuals deceased at the scene and another critically injured. That individual later succumbed to their injuries at a local hospital.
Preliminary findings from investigators indicate that the incident involved two men and one woman. Authorities are withholding the third individual’s name as part of ongoing investigations into family violence protocols. Relatives confirmed that the two victims, Shyianna and Jermaine, were both parents, with Shyianna leaving behind a young son and Jermaine fathering two daughters.
Neighbors described a harrowing scene as police swarmed the area in response to the gunfire. Cassie Peacock, a resident of the complex, recounted the chaos, noting, “The entire bedroom was lit up blue… There were just so many [police], and we didn’t know what was going on.”
Emily Amos, who lives in close proximity to where the shooting occurred, reported hearing multiple gunshots that early morning, prompting her to call 911 as she hunkered down in fear. “It was pop, pop, pop, pop,” she said. “About six or seven minutes later, all I saw were cop cars — there were five out here.”
In the aftermath, residents expressed concerns about the lack of communication from law enforcement, wishing for more updates that could provide peace of mind. Amos articulated a desire for timely information during such distressing events, stating, “I really wish they would inform at least the people that live in the area.”
As the investigation continues, police authorities aim to piece together the motives that led to this heartbreaking event. The community has been rocked by the loss, leaving many grappling with the implications of such violence within their neighborhood.
