Thanksgiving Tragedy Claims Lives of Two Children and Father

FORT WORTH, TX – A tragic accident has claimed the lives of a prominent Fort Worth CEO and his two young children. Zach Muckleroy, the CEO of Muckleroy and Falls Construction Company, and his children, Judson, 12, and Lindsey, 9, were killed in a car crash on Wednesday while traveling to visit family in Central Texas for Thanksgiving.

Lauren Muckleroy, Zach’s wife and the mother of the two children, was the sole survivor of the accident. She was airlifted to an Austin hospital in critical condition. The news of the accident has left the Fort Worth community in shock and mourning.

The University Christian Church in Fort Worth, where the Muckleroy family were members, held a vigil on Friday. Senior minister Russ Peterman spoke fondly of the family, stating that the Muckleroys had been part of the church for generations.

The accident involving three cars occurred in Blanco County near Johnson City off Highway 281. Four out of the six people involved in the crash died, including Zach and his two children. The identity of the fourth victim has not been disclosed.

Lauren Muckleroy has undergone several surgeries and has been conscious at times. However, she is now faced with the devastating reality of losing her husband and children.

Zach Muckleroy was a respected figure in the Fort Worth community. He assumed the CEO role at his family’s construction company three years ago. He was also a TCU alum and played for the Horned Frogs football team in 1998. His sudden death has left the community in shock and grief.
