Teen Shooter Indicted in Deadly Paddock Hills Incident, Toddler Injured

CINCINNATI, OHIO – A man has been sentenced to five to seven years in prison for his involvement in a shooting incident in Paddock Hills that resulted in the death of a teen and the injury of a toddler in 2023. Mykale Dudley pleaded guilty to involuntary manslaughter after being initially charged with several serious offenses including murder and aggravated burglary, according to court documents from Hamilton County.

Dudley was implicated in the tragic incident that took place on February 18, 2023, where 17-year-old Traveon Spraggs lost his life and a 13-month-old child was injured during a shooting at a residence on Clearbrook Avenue. Despite efforts to save him, Spraggs succumbed to his injuries on March 3 as confirmed by the Hamilton County Coroner’s Office. Fortunately, the toddler sustained non-life-threatening injuries.

The Hamilton County Prosecutor’s Office disclosed that another individual, a 15-year-old named Jesse Mascus, was charged with aggravated murder, aggravated burglary, carrying a concealed weapon, felonious assault, and murder in connection with the same incident. A witness, as per court records, identified Mascus as the perpetrator, who is set to face trial as an adult.
