Sun City Man Charged with Murder in Wife’s Death in Hilton Head

HILTON HEAD, S.C. – Authorities in Beaufort County have charged a 77-year-old man in the death of his wife, according to the county sheriff’s office. The man, identified as John K. Rounds, is facing murder charges in connection with the incident.

Deputies were called to a residence on Penny Creek Drive on Saturday following a 911 call reporting a possible suicide by the man and his wife. Upon arrival, deputies found the man’s wife deceased and the man himself with minor injuries.
