Louisville, Kentucky – A woman in Louisville, Kentucky is facing murder charges for the alleged strangulation of a patient at an addiction treatment center. Angela Hensley, 48, was arrested by Louisville Metro Police officers two days after the patient was found dead at the facility in the Hazelwood neighborhood.
During her arraignment, Hensley remained silent and unresponsive, leading to the assignment of a public defender and a plea of not guilty. Surveillance footage reportedly shows Hensley entering the victim’s room and later leaving, with the victim found deceased on the floor. Hensley allegedly made statements to detectives admitting to the crime.
The incident has shocked those who knew Hensley, including her friend Melissa Davis, who described her as a kind and religious person. Davis also raised concerns about the facility’s supervision, questioning why Hensley was able to access the victim’s room without intervention.
