Strangling Ex-Girlfriend Leads to 30-Year Prison Sentence for Jason Watson in Connecticut Homicide Case

MERIDEN, CONNECTICUT – A man convicted of the brutal murder of his ex-girlfriend in Meriden has been sentenced to three decades in prison. Jason Watson was found guilty of strangling Perrie Mason, just before she disappeared in August 2019. Her remains were later discovered in Waterbury, where Watson had been employed.

The 41-year-old Watson faced charges of strangulation, assault, unlawful restraint, and disorderly conduct. He pleaded guilty on November 27 and was sentenced on Monday. The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner ruled the cause of death as homicidal violence of unknown etiology and the manner of death a homicide.
