Bengaluru, India – A tragic incident unfolded in the Jayanagar area of Bengaluru as a woman was fatally stabbed by her former boyfriend. The ex-boyfriend met his demise after being struck with a stone by the woman’s mother in a desperate attempt to save her daughter, according to police reports.
The individuals involved were identified as Anusha, a 24-year-old resident of Shakambari Nagar in JP Nagar, and T Suresh, a 44-year-old residing in Goraguntepalya. The events transpired on Thursday, leading to the man’s death from injuries sustained during the altercation.
Police revealed that Anusha and Suresh had known each other for five years, initially meeting while working together at an event management firm. Their relationship took a turn when Anusha discovered Suresh was married with children, prompting her to end their association.
Following a confrontation in a park, Suresh allegedly stabbed Anusha, who had informed her mother of a brief meeting before leaving the house. The mother, sensing something was wrong, followed her daughter to the park only to witness the tragic attack.
In a turn of events, Anusha’s mother intervened by hitting Suresh with a stone in an effort to protect her daughter, resulting in Suresh’s immediate demise. The Deputy Commissioner of Police (South), Lokesh Bharamappa Jagalasar, stated that both victims were pronounced dead around 4:45 pm at Sarakki Park in Jayanagar.
Anusha, described as a caretaker, and Suresh, employed by an event management company, were the subject of two separate cases registered by the police in light of the incident. The investigation is ongoing, with an eyewitness being questioned to shed light on the tragic set of events.
