Stabbing Shakes San Antonio Family Christmas Gathering as Father and Son Hospitalized After Confrontation with Neighbors

SAN ANTONIO – A Christmas gathering turned chaotic early this morning when a neighborhood dispute escalated into a violent clash, leaving both a father and son hospitalized.

The incident occurred on Castle Hunt Drive, where tensions flared between residents over alleged theft. According to police, a confrontation unfolded as a father confronted a neighbor about suspicions of car part theft, setting off a series of alarming events.

Alexis Tobias, one of the victims, recounted the frightening experience outside his home. He pointed to blood stains left from the attack, noting how quickly the celebration turned unsettling. “This is where everything happened. You can still see where it all went down,” he said, visibly shaken.

Tobias explained that his father had confronted the neighbor after receiving reports of suspicious activity near their parked vehicle. “My dad asked him why he was messing with our stuff. It got heated, and he threw the first punch,” Tobias stated.

The situation escalated dramatically when the neighbor returned, accompanied by two to three others, leading to physical violence. “Things got out of hand. My dad got cut an inch deep into his chest and hit in the head with a metal bat,” Tobias recounted, adding that his father received seven stitches to treat the injury.

During the chaos, Alexis attempted to intervene and protect his father, only to be struck with the same bat. “I got hit on the face, but I didn’t lose consciousness or anything. But it was still pretty intense,” he said.

After the assault, the group fled the scene in a gray SUV, leaving the family to grapple with the aftermath. The car they used to escape bears handprints that authorities are now examining as evidence. “We’ve left it untouched for the detectives,” Tobias noted.

Both father and son are currently on the mend, while San Antonio police continue to investigate the incident. As of now, no suspects have been apprehended, and the community remains on edge following the brutal confrontation.
