Shooting Tragedy Strikes San Antonio Home: Woman Dead, Man Critical

SAN ANTONIO, Texas – Authorities are investigating a tragic incident that occurred early Monday morning on the city’s Southeast Side, resulting in the death of a woman and leaving a man in critical condition after a shooting at a residence.

Police responded to a call reporting gunshots around 1:30 a.m. at a home located in the 5600 block of Espada Cliff, near Sinclair Road and Loop 410. Upon arrival, officers discovered a man in his 30s with multiple gunshot wounds, including one to the chest, and a woman who had been fatally shot in the garage of the house.

The injured man was transported to a nearby hospital by ambulance, where he remains in critical condition. Authorities found bullet casings in the grass outside the residence, indicating that the shooter may have fled the scene on foot. As of now, there is no information on a suspect or a motive for the shooting.

The San Antonio Police Department, along with the San Antonio Fire Department and EMS, all responded to the scene of the incident. The identity of the deceased woman has not been released, pending notification of her next of kin.
