Shooting Suspect at Large in El Cajon After One Killed, Two Injured – Urgent Call to Report Abdulkareem

El Cajon, California – A shooting incident in El Cajon has left one person dead and two others injured, with the suspect still on the loose, according to police reports. The El Cajon Police Department identified the suspect as 29-year-old Mohammed Abdulkareem, a resident of El Cajon, and has issued a warning to the public, stating that he is armed and dangerous. Authorities have urged anyone who spots Abdulkareem to immediately call 911.

The shooting occurred at a dental office near the intersection of Magnolia and Madison avenues around 4:15 p.m. The victims, as reported by Capt. Rob Ransweiler of the El Cajon Police Department, include a male who was fatally shot, a man in his 40s, and a woman in her 20s. The two injured victims were transported to local hospitals and are currently in stable condition.

Ransweiler confirmed that all the victims were shot with a handgun. Abdulkareem, last seen wearing all black, fled the scene in a white U-Haul pickup truck with the Arizona license plate AM14894. Security footage captured by the city’s Flock traffic-camera system showed the suspect leaving northbound on North Mollison Avenue.

Law enforcement presence at the scene was significant, with multiple police cars conducting searches in the area and surrounding buildings. The shooting took place inside the dental office, and due to the active nature of the scene, officers had to move the deceased victim outside in order to administer life-saving measures.
