Shooting Suspect Arrested After 2 Killed in Angleton Active Shooter Incident

ANGLETON, Texas – The Angleton Police Department has provided new details regarding a shooting incident that resulted in two fatalities on Monday.
The incident, which took place in the 900 block of South Velasco Street at around 8:20 a.m., resulted in the deaths of 37-year-old Devin Murrell and 66-year-old Darla Murrell, who were airlifted to a Houston hospital for urgent care but later succumbed to their injuries.
Following the discovery of the victims, authorities confirmed that the suspect, 35-year-old Bradley Jones, had fled the scene. Jones was later apprehended without incident at County Beach. He is currently in custody at the Brazoria County Sheriff’s Office on two counts of murder.
