Shooting Spree: Multiple Fatalities in Northwest DC and Annandale Domestically-related Homicide

Washington, D.C. – Seven people were shot, with two fatalities, during an incident in Northwest D.C. in the early hours of Sunday morning, according to the police. The shooting took place around 3 a.m. near 7th and P St., NW, with two men found dead at the scene. Four others sustained injuries and were taken to the hospital, while a fifth victim arrived at a local hospital shortly after. The motive behind the shooting is currently under investigation, with detectives suggesting that one or more suspects deliberately fired at the victims. The identities of the victims have not been released pending notification of their next of kin, and the shooter remains at large.

In Charles County, Maryland, detectives are investigating a fatal double shooting that occurred on Saturday night, resulting in the death of an 18-year-old male. Responding to reports of gunshots on Snow Owl Place in Waldorf, officers found the victim inside a vehicle suffering from gunshot wounds. Despite efforts by EMS, the victim succumbed to his injuries. The shooting is believed to have occurred during a possible drug deal, with another individual also sustaining non-life-threatening injuries. In Annandale, Virginia, a domestic dispute turned deadly when a 30-year-old man fatally shot his ex-girlfriend. The victim, identified as 30-year-old Anesha Isaacs, was found with multiple gunshot wounds and later pronounced dead at the hospital. The suspect, Tylen Jennings, fled the scene but was apprehended by Prince George’s County Police in Maryland. Jennings faces charges of second-degree murder, use of a firearm in a felony, abduction, and violation of a protective order. He is currently held without bond.
