Shooting Leaves Man Dead, Juvenile Injured in Dallas Investigation underway

Dallas, Texas – Dallas police are currently investigating a shooting incident that resulted in the death of a man and the injury of a juvenile in southeast Dallas over the weekend. The incident took place on Alcorn Avenue, near Elam and Jim Miller Roads, on Sunday night around 8:30 PM.

Authorities have identified the deceased victim as 33-year-old Jose Garnados-Cerritos, who succumbed to a gunshot wound at the scene. Additionally, a 12-year-old juvenile was also shot during the incident and has been hospitalized. Fortunately, the juvenile is reported to be in stable condition.

Police have stated that the driver and another juvenile passenger in the vehicle were unharmed during the shooting. It is believed that the initial shooting took place on Jonelle Avenue and escalated when the driver continued to Alcorn Avenue.
