Shooting in Uniontown: Arrest Made, Two Suspects at Large in Violent Incident

UNIONTOWN, Pa. – Fayette County officials announced an arrest in connection to a shooting that occurred on June 11 near Varndell Street in Uniontown. Santana Daily Jones has been charged with attempted homicide in the incident, with two other individuals still at large. Vincent Edward Pratt III and another shooter are being sought by authorities and are considered armed and dangerous. The tragic events unfolded on a Tuesday afternoon in Uniontown that resulted in one fatality and two injuries. Joshua Stevens, 33, of Uniontown, was shot and killed around 2 p.m. The district attorney revealed that the victim initially attacked the defendant with a knife, leading to the fatal shooting before the perpetrator fled the scene. Law enforcement is currently searching for the shooter involved in this incident.

In a separate shooting later that day at Liberty and Varndell streets, police officers responded swiftly after hearing gunshots. A vehicle riddled with bullet holes arrived near Carlisle Street and Searight Avenue with two male victims inside. Both individuals, in their late teens to early 20s, sustained injuries, one shot in the hip and the other wounded by shrapnel. The victims were promptly taken to the hospital for treatment as authorities took over the investigation.
