Reports indicate that the man was in pursuit of two individuals believed to be involved in a robbery. According to sources, a 19-year-old man and a woman allegedly stole the wallet of a 20-year-old man, triggering a chase. The 20-year-old man, armed with a weapon, pursued the suspects, leading to the arrival of law enforcement officers at the scene.
NYPD Chief of Patrol John Chell described the chaotic scene, stating that officers witnessed the armed individual firing shots while chasing after the suspects.
