Shooting at Juneteenth Festival Leaves Two Dead: Arrest Made

Round Rock, Texas – A 17-year-old has been taken into custody in connection with a shooting at a Juneteenth festival that left two women dead and fourteen others injured, according to the Round Rock Police Department. The arrest was made by the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force, with the suspect facing charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Police Chief Allen Banks stated that there is still an ongoing search for additional suspects involved in the incident.

Authorities have disclosed that the shooting stemmed from an argument between two groups during the Juneteenth celebration, leading to a tragic exchange of gunfire late in the evening. The victims, Lyndsey Vicknair and Ara Duke, were innocent attendees of the event and were not part of the altercation. Both women tragically lost their lives at the scene.
