Shooting at Compton Pool Party Leaves One Dead and Several Injured

Compton, California – Tragedy struck a pool party in Compton on Friday night as a shooting incident resulted in one fatality and five individuals sustaining injuries. Reports indicated that chaos ensued around 7:50 p.m. at a residence near Mayo Avenue and Greenleaf Boulevard, just in proximity to Compton College. Amid the festivities, gunfire erupted, causing approximately 100 attendees to flee the scene, darting through the neighborhood in their swimwear, leaving belongings in their wake.

The Compton Fire Department confirmed the discovery of a deceased male at the scene, with authorities yet to disclose his identity. Additionally, two men and three women suffered gunshot wounds and were promptly transported to the hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
