Perry, Iowa – Following the tragic shooting at Perry High School in Iowa, new details have emerged about the suspected shooter, 17-year-old Dylan Butler. According to former classmates, Butler had been bullied relentlessly, a situation that had been escalating, leading to the tragic events that unfolded at the school.

Yesenia Roeder and Khamya Hall, both 17, revealed that Butler had been the subject of relentless bullying since elementary school. The situation intensified when his younger sister also became a target of harassment. Despite their pleas, school officials did not intervene, leading to a breaking point for the shooter.

The immediate aftermath of the shooting left one sixth-grader, Ahmir Jolliff, dead, and five others wounded. Jolliff, known as “Smiley” at home, was remembered as a joyful and active young boy.
