Chaguanas, Trinidad and Tobago — Authorities are investigating a violent robbery that took place Friday evening outside a supermarket. The incident occurred around 6 p.m. at the Price Club Supermarket, where a woman was targeted while unloading her groceries.
The victim, a 53-year-old resident of Cunupia, was approached by two men as she packed her items into her vehicle. According to reports, the assailants forcibly removed two gold bangles and a gold chain from her before fleeing the scene in a black Mitsubishi SUV, bearing the registration number PDX 9732.
Eyewitness accounts describe the suspects as slim-built individuals with short, curly hair. One man is estimated to be around six feet tall, dressed in a short-sleeved T-shirt and long jeans, while the other is approximately five feet tall and also wearing a short-sleeved T-shirt.
Following the incident, officers from the Chaguanas Police Station arrived quickly to the scene, where they conducted interviews with witnesses and gathered evidence. Authorities have since reported that the suspects have been identified and are actively pursuing leads to apprehend them.
