Carrieale Williams is due back in court Monday after being charged in an alleged attack on another pregnant woman.
HOUSTON, Texas — Court records are adding new details to the case against a 19-year-old woman accused of stabbing a pregnant woman, including a previous assault allegation involving a different pregnant person that was later dismissed.
Carrieale Williams was arrested Thursday, Aug. 20, after authorities said a pregnant woman was injured at a home on Dona Lane in northeast Houston. Williams faces an aggravated assault charge in the new case and is scheduled for a setting Monday in the 185th District Court, according to court information reported by Houston news organizations.
During Williams’ initial court appearance, a judge referenced a 2025 case in which Williams had been accused of assaulting another pregnant woman. Records from that earlier case show the complainant was Williams’ sister, who was six months pregnant at the time, according to local reports that reviewed the documents.
In the earlier case, Williams was accused of pushing her sister down and punching her during an argument over a phone charger. The charge was ultimately dismissed after Williams completed a 10-hour anger management course. Because the case was dismissed, the prior allegation did not result in a conviction.
The new case involves a separate woman whom investigators said Williams knew through church. Authorities said Williams invited the woman to a home in the 12000 block of Dona Lane. Court records allege the woman was dating Williams’ former boyfriend, but investigators have not publicly identified a motive for the alleged attack.
Investigators said the victim noticed Williams trying to hide a knife while she was inside the home. A struggle followed, authorities said, and the pregnant woman suffered injuries to her face, arms and hands. Emergency crews took her to a hospital, and officials said she was expected to recover.
A charging document accuses Williams of intentionally, knowingly or recklessly causing bodily injury with a knife. The document identifies the knife as a deadly weapon. Williams has been charged, but the allegations remain unproven and the case has not reached trial.
At the initial court proceeding, a $3,000 bond was requested, but the judge referred the bond decision to the trial court because of the allegations involving a knife, according to KPRC. A protective order was also approved. Reporting from the court appearance indicated that the judge said Williams was also believed to be pregnant, although further details about that statement were not released.
The court record places the new allegation alongside the dismissed 2025 case, but the two proceedings remain legally separate. The earlier dismissal does not establish guilt in the current case, and prosecutors will have to prove the new accusation through the court process.
Williams’ next reported court setting is Monday, Aug. 24. Authorities have not announced a motive, and they have not disclosed how far along the victim was in her pregnancy. The victim was expected to recover as the criminal case moved forward.
