Poison Seller Kenneth Law Charged with 14 Counts of Murder in Ontario

Newmarket, Ontario – Kenneth Law, a resident of Mississauga, Ontario, has been charged with murder in connection with a string of deaths across various cities in Ontario. According to a charge sheet from the Ontario Court of Justice, Law faces 14 counts of second-degree murder, in addition to the initial 14 counts of counselling or aiding suicide. The charges stem from the deaths of several individuals in locations ranging from Toronto to Thunder Bay. Among the victims are Stephen Mitchell Jr., 21, from Toronto, and Ashtyn Prosser, 19, from Windsor, Ont.

Law, a 58-year-old individual, was apprehended by Peel Regional Police in May following an investigation into local fatalities. Allegations suggest that Law operated multiple websites since late 2020, facilitating the sale of dangerous substances like sodium nitrite. It is believed that Law dispatched over 1,200 packages to recipients in more than 40 countries, with the toxic nature of sodium nitrite posing serious health risks. Authorities have disclosed that approximately 160 packages were sent to Canadian addresses.

Law’s lawyer, Matthew Gourlay, confirmed the recent murder charges in a brief email statement. Notably, Law has not faced any charges in foreign nations as yet, although investigations are underway. Instances of sudden deaths worldwide, possibly related to Law’s activities, currently stand at 117, with a significant majority reported in the U.K. Authorities from countries like New Zealand, France, Ireland, Italy, Germany, and Switzerland have acknowledged shipments from Law to their territories. Similarly, police forces across Canada are revisiting past cases of sudden deaths in light of Law’s alleged involvement.

In the United States, the FBI is actively looking into potential links between Law and certain deaths, with investigations ongoing in states like Pennsylvania. Families impacted by these tragedies are hopeful that justice will be served, with Gerald Cohn expressing relief at the news of murder charges being laid. The FBI, however, maintains its standard policy of neither confirming nor denying active investigations. As the case unfolds, details regarding Law’s illicit operations and their global implications continue to emerge.
