Murder-Suicide Investigation Underway in West Goshen Township, Pennsylvania

WEST GOSHEN TWP., Pennsylvania – Authorities are investigating a tragic incident in West Goshen Township, Pennsylvania, where the bodies of two individuals were found during a welfare check on Tuesday. The case is now being treated as a murder-suicide.

Police were prompted to visit the 400 block of Hightop Road after 41-year-old Derek Calzadillas had not been in contact with relatives for over 24 hours. Upon arrival, officers discovered 22-year-old Kai O’Connor unresponsive on the floor inside the residence. O’Connor was rushed to Chester County Hospital but was later pronounced dead. Calzadillas was found deceased inside a closet.
