Trémolat, France — A murder investigation is underway following the death of a 65-year-old British woman, identified in local media as Karen Carter, who was discovered with multiple stab wounds at her home in a rural hamlet. Emergency services responded late Tuesday after a friend found Carter injured near her vehicle. Despite attempts to provide first aid, she succumbed to her injuries at the scene. The emergency call was made shortly after 10 p.m., initiating a swift response from local medical teams.
According to prosecutors, Carter suffered five deep wounds inflicted by a sharp object, with injuries evident on her chest, groin, arm, and leg.
