BIG SPRING, Texas — A local man has been charged with murder following a deadly shooting that occurred late Friday evening at a home on Langley Drive. The incident, reported to police just after 10:30 p.m., has left the community in shock.
Responding officers encountered Joel Adrian Flores, 43, and a 40-year-old woman outside the residence where the shooting took place. According to police, both individuals claimed that Phillip Samuel Lozano Jr., 36, had allegedly broken into the home armed with a weapon. They further stated that Lozano was shot by Flores during the confrontation inside the house.
Upon their arrival, officers found Lozano suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Despite efforts to provide assistance, he was pronounced dead at the scene. The circumstances surrounding the incident prompted the Big Spring Police Department to initiate a thorough investigation.
