Man Dead in Jacksonville’s McGirts Village Identified as Devin Pearson, 28

Jacksonville, Florida – A man identified as Devin Pearson, 28, was found shot multiple times at McGirts Village on Jacksonville’s Westside, the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office reported. Officers discovered Pearson, described as a man in his mid-to-late 20s by JSO’s Sergeant Lessard, with multiple gunshot wounds around 12:50 a.m. at 8400 McGirts Village Ln. The officers initially responded to assist the Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department with a man in distress at the townhome subdivision.

The victim was transported to a hospital in Orange Park, where he was later pronounced dead, according to police. Lessard stated that the circumstances of the incident are still unknown, resulting in the classification of the incident as pending. Authorities believe this to be an isolated event and confirmed that the suspect is currently at large.
