MANSFIELD, Texas – A tragic incident in Mansfield has led to the arrest of a man on charges of murder after a victim succumbed to a gunshot wound. The Mansfield Police Department reported that officers responded to a call regarding a shooting on Monticello Drive, where they discovered a man with a gunshot wound. Despite being rushed to Mansfield Methodist Hospital, the victim passed away from his injuries.
The suspect had already fled the scene before law enforcement arrived, but authorities were able to apprehend Steven Shane Foster, 38, at a residence in Midlothian without any issues. The shooting was described by the police as stemming from a domestic dispute between the victim’s ex-fiancé and ex-boyfriend.
In addition to the murder charge, Foster was also accused of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and tampering with evidence. The identity of the victim has not been disclosed to the public until their next of kin has been notified of the tragic event.
