Man Arrested for Jersey City Triple Shooting, Facing Murder Charges

Jersey City, New Jersey – Authorities have apprehended a 36-year-old man, Joseph Del Valle of Hoboken, in connection with a tragic triple shooting that resulted in one fatality and two injuries. Hudson County prosecutors have levied charges of murder, weapons violations, and assault against Del Valle. The incident took place on Jordan Avenue, near McGinley Square, just blocks away from a local high school on March 9 around 6:30 a.m.

According to officials, the shooting claimed the life of 33-year-old Christoph Terrero Marte of Jersey City, while two other victims, a 28-year-old resident of Union City and a 31-year-old from Jersey City, sustained non-life-threatening injuries. Del Valle was apprehended at an address on Summit Avenue in Jersey City and is currently detained at the Hudson County Correctional Facility awaiting his initial court appearance.

Another individual, 42-year-old Francisco Salcedo from Jersey City, faces charges of aggravated assault and weapons offenses in connection to the same incident. Salcedo was taken into custody on March 11 at the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office in Secaucus. Through diligent investigation and cooperation between law enforcement agencies, these arrests mark progress towards bringing justice for the victims and holding the perpetrators accountable for their actions.
