Justice Demanded for Londis Store Owner Attacked by Robbers in Amersham

Amersham, Buckinghamshire – Following a violent incident that left Harpal Singh, the owner of Londis convenience store in Chesham Bois, injured after being attacked with an axe by robbers, residents of the Amersham community are rallying for justice.

In response to the assault on Harpal, Siddharth Maheshwari initiated a Change.org petition demanding swift action against the perpetrators. Describing Harpal as a revered figure in the community, Siddharth expressed outrage over the lack of accountability for those responsible for the brutal attack, urging local authorities to prioritize the safety of small businesses like Londis.

The petition has garnered significant support, with over 400 signatures condemning the incident and voicing concerns regarding the escalating law and order situation in Buckinghamshire. The solidarity shown by the community has been overwhelming, as evidenced by a JustGiving page raising funds for Harpal’s recovery, which has surpassed £5,000.

While Harpal is reported to be out of immediate danger and on the path to recovery, Thames Valley Police have yet to make any arrests in connection to the robbery. However, the police have linked this incident to a similar robbery at Ivy Stores in Amersham, shedding light on a potential pattern of crime in the area.

Detective Sergeant Campbell Smith of Amersham police station has released CCTV images of individuals believed to have crucial information regarding the robberies. The police are urging anyone with relevant details to come forward and assist in the ongoing investigation, emphasizing the importance of community cooperation in combating such crimes.
