GILBERT, Ariz. – A young woman in Gilbert, Arizona, tragically lost her life after reporting an intruder who had entered her apartment and shot her. Rachel Hansen, 19, made the call to 911 in the early morning hours of June 4, 2022, near San Tan Village Parkway and Ray Road. Despite being rushed to the hospital, she succumbed to her injuries, leaving her family and community in shock and disbelief.
The victim’s mother expressed profound grief, stating that Rachel’s untimely and senseless death has left everyone bewildered, given her youth and the vibrant life she had ahead of her.
