Intentional Fire Leads to Teenage Girl’s Tragic Death in Palisade Apartment Complex Explosion

Eighteen-year-old Kloey Weythman lost her life in the fire that also resulted in the displacement of all residents in the six-unit complex.

Authorities from the Mesa County Sheriff’s Office announced on Wednesday that the fire was intentionally started. They suspect that an accelerant was used to ignite the blaze, pinpointing the origin to apartment one which was rented by 29-year-old Andrew Alderman.
