Panchkula, India – A tragic incident has shaken the community as Chandigarh Police constable Sapna was found dead in her car at Mata Mansa Devi Complex in Panchkula. The victim’s brother has accused her husband, Parvinder, of being involved in her murder, leading to an ongoing investigation by the authorities. A postmortem is currently underway at the Sector 6 government hospital in Panchkula to determine the cause of her death.
According to the complainant Gaurav, who is also a police officer, Sapna and Parvinder had been married since 2014 and shared a six-year-old daughter. Allegations have surfaced that Parvinder had been harassing Sapna, leading to domestic disputes between the couple. Gaurav claims that Parvinder, described as a drug addict, would often demand money from Sapna and had previously attempted suicide in June 2024.
The unfolding events reveal that on March 11, Parvinder contacted Gaurav to report that Sapna was unresponsive to calls and had not returned home. It was later discovered that Sapna had visited Mansa Devi Temple in Panchkula. However, her lifeless body was found inside her car parked near Saketri road, prompting suspicions of foul play.
Gaurav suspects that Parvinder may have committed the heinous act, abandoned the car, and evaded authorities. Upon further investigation, a gun and a phone were recovered from the scene. Law enforcement officials have registered a case of murder under Section 103(1) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita at the Mansa Devi police station. At present, Parvinder remains at large, avoiding capture.
As the investigation progresses and the postmortem results are analyzed, the community awaits clarity on the circumstances surrounding Sapna’s tragic death. The search for answers continues as authorities intensify efforts to locate and apprehend the primary suspect in this disturbing case.
