FALLS TOWNSHIP, Pa. – Authorities in Falls Township, Pennsylvania, provided an update on a tragic incident involving a violent rampage that took place on Saturday morning. The suspect, Andre Gordon Jr., 26, allegedly carried out a series of fatal shootings in the area before barricading himself inside a home in Trenton.
The tragic chain of events began on Viewpoint Lane in Falls Township, where Gordon reportedly forced his way into a home and fatally shot two individuals before fleeing in a stolen vehicle. The victims were identified as his 52-year-old stepmother, Karen Gordon, and his 13-year-old sister, Kera Gordon. Fortunately, three other individuals inside the home were able to hide and avoid harm, according to Bucks County District Attorney Jennifer Schorn.
After leaving the initial crime scene, Gordon proceeded to another home on Edgewood Lane, where he allegedly shot and killed 25-year-old Taylor Daniel, the mother of his two children. Several individuals were inside the residence at the time, and one person sustained injuries after being struck by Gordon with a rifle.
Subsequently, Gordon carjacked a driver at gunpoint outside a Dollar General in Morrisville and fled the scene in a stolen vehicle. The stolen car was later found abandoned in Trenton, prompting authorities to launch a search operation in the area.
Law enforcement officials revealed that Gordon barricaded himself inside a home on Miller Street in Trenton, raising concerns that he may have taken multiple individuals hostage. However, reports later confirmed that the residents of the home had been safely evacuated without injuries.
Authorities believe that Gordon knew the victims who were tragically killed and that he currently has no fixed address, with connections to Trenton. Despite his minor previous brushes with the law, there were no prior indications that such a violent incident would occur, according to Falls Township Police Chief Nelson Whitney.
The incident prompted a shelter-in-place order for Falls Township residents, which was eventually lifted as law enforcement continued their efforts to resolve the situation. Governor Josh Shapiro pledged support from the Pennsylvania State Police to assist local authorities in handling the aftermath of the tragedy.
