Ottawa, Canada — A 38-year-old man discovered with gunshot wounds in a Centretown rooming house on October 15 has died, marking the 17th homicide of the year in the city, according to local authorities.
Nelson Getson was located at a residence on Somerset Street West shortly after 1:30 a.m. Paramedics provided immediate care and transported him to the hospital, where he remained in critical condition. Unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries on October 24.
